Marriage is hard… and when you don’t share the same faith, it can feel even heavier some days.
If that’s you, I see you. I’m in it too.
And while we can’t control our husbands (as much as we might want to sometimes 😅), we can pray for them. Not in a big, complicated way—just in the middle of real life.
Here are some simple ways I pray for my husband that you can steal if you need them:
1. His heart
Just that it stays soft. Life can make anyone a little hard over time, and I pray he doesn’t lose that tenderness.
2. His mind
There’s so much junk coming at us all day. I pray he doesn’t believe the lies that he’s not enough or has to be more.
3. His leadership
Even if he doesn’t realize it, he’s leading our family in some way. I just pray his choices are steady and good for all of us.
4. His choices
Temptation is everywhere—it just is. I pray he chooses what’s right, even when no one’s watching.
5. Him as a dad
That he chooses relationship over being right. That our kids feel loved and safe with him.
6. His work
Work stress is real. I pray he feels purpose in it, but also doesn’t carry the weight of it home every day.
7. His people
Who he spends time with matters. I pray he has people around him who make him better, not pull him in the wrong direction.
8. How he sees himself
A lot of men carry quiet pressure. I pray he knows he’s enough—even if he doesn’t say that out loud.
9. His worries
Because he has them, even if he doesn’t talk about them. I pray for peace in the middle of all of it.
10. Us
Our marriage, just… staying strong. Even when we don’t agree on everything.
I don’t pray perfectly. Half the time it’s quick, distracted prayers while I’m doing dishes or driving.
But I’ve learned it’s not about saying the “right” words.
It’s just about showing up… and trusting God to handle the parts I can’t.
