Sports Mom Must-haves

As a busy mom on the go whose kids are all involved in sports I have complied a list of my most used items.

Carry-all bag – I love my Bogg bag.! It is tough and washes easily. After a rainy soccer season or spending hours in the gym for volleyball I can quickly wipe it down or sanitize all the germs off.

Waterproof blanket – A packable waterproof blanket cuts down on the things you have to carry. No need for an umbrella when you can pull up a waterproof hood.

Warm winter coat – WI weather and outdoor sports can bring all sorts of weather. A warm coat is a true necessity.

Hand warmers – Perfect for those extra cold days. Throw them in your boots to keep toes warm, mittens to protect your fingers, and hat fold for your ears.

Snacks – Mid game energy source for your player and cheering squad while staying on budget. Check out my post on easy pack able snacks.

Portable cooler – A true necessity to carry all the delicious snacks you brought. I prefer a backpack style to keep my hands free.

Stadium Seats – Such a back saver. I didn’t know what I was missing out on until I got one this year.

Water bottle – There is nothing better than ice cold water on a hot day.

Sunglasses – These are my favorite sunglasses because they fit perfectly under both a baseball cap and a snow hat (IYKYK).

Cooling Towels – A great treat for your athlete, or yourself, on a hot day.

Portable Chair – I currently use my camping chair but keep going back to a small folding chair that can stay in the car. Lots of times I also use my waterproof blanket and sit down on the ground.

What items can I add to this list?

Truly my favorite addition last year! So multipurpose. Perfect for those sitting on, rain protection, and windy days.

I’m Kim,

Hi, I’m a mom of three kids, ranging from upper elementary to almost high school, and I’ve been happily married for 15 years. I’ve been a teacher for 18 years, so I’m no stranger to juggling work, family, and everything in between. We live in Wisconsin, where we spend a lot of time outdoors and staying active, especially since all three of my kids are involved in sports.

On my blog, I share practical tips for busy moms—whether it’s healthy recipes, money-saving ideas, or ways to make life a little easier. I focus on providing nutritious meals, though chicken nuggets are always a go-to for those chaotic days. I’m also working on moving closer to more traditional homemaking practices and love to share tips along the way.

I hope you find helpful ideas, inspiration, and a little fun here as we navigate the daily challenges of motherhood and family life. Thanks for stopping by!
